San Diego Housing Supply Third Worst in the Nation

A new study by Zillow shows that San Diego ranks third worst in home supply in the nation.  While we have one of the best markets for sellers, limited housing inventory makes us one of the worst cities for buyers.  Supply is especially limited in the bottom third priced-homes (those valued below $406,450), where inventory dropped nearly 50% in the last year.  Lack of supply has also raised the price of homes by nearly 5%.  All of this means that first-time home buyers and those with lower incomes are having an increasingly difficult time affording a home.  At SDHFH, we believe that everyone deserves access to safe, affordable housing, and with your help, we are working to make this a reality.
